Public markets and listed clients

With a tightening of the private equity markets, it’s expected that initial public offerings (IPOS) will come back into focus and again be an attractive source of new capital and liquidity for companies looking to grow.

During the course of the last few years, private equity investment together with a structured debt package has often proved to be the most attractive route for companies looking to maximise shareholder value. However, we are all experienced enough to remember a time when that was not the case and when IPOs / flotations were the natural route to take.

We have experience of advising companies who are looking to list on the Full List of the London Stock Exchange or a secondary market such as the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

We also have a number of listed clients and can advise on rights issues, private placements, open offers and other fund raising exercises.

We have set out below a few of our publically listed clients:-

IQE LogoWe are a long standing legal adviser to IQE plc, having advised on its admission to the full list of the LSE and subsequent transfer to AIM. We have worked with IQE on various rounds of finance as well as on its acquisition programme.
Capita LogoWe have advised the Capita Group plc on a series of acquisitions including the acquisitions of MVRA Holdings Limited, the Lovejoy Partnership Limited, Nickalls Roche McMahon Limited and Weedon Grant Limited. We have also advised on disposals of non-core businesses by the Capita Group, and the Competition Commission directed disposal sale of its IBS Revenue & Benefits business.
