Professional Background
Betsan was educated at Cardiff University and the College of Law in Chester. Having trained at Bevan Ashford in Cardiff and Bristol, she became an assistant solicitor in their corporate team in 1996. She later became an assistant solicitor for London firm Amhurst Brown Colombotti before joining M&A at its inception in 1999, becoming a partner in 2005.
Area of Practice
Betsan's area of practice is corporate and commercial focusing on corporate transactions and commercial contracts.
Betsan has advised on several large transactions including the sale of Halo Foods Limited, Acorn Recruitment Limited and Celtic Inns Limited. She has advised Mansford Holdings PLC on a number of joint ventures including its investment in the "Bluestone" project, a £100m+ holiday development village in West Wales.
As well as advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial contracts and projects Betsan has specific employment expertise. She advises on a diverse range of non-contentious employment matters from boardroom appointments and departures to worker consultation, employee benefits and incentives, redundancy programmes and transactional issues including TUPE.
Betsan is a fluent Welsh speaker and advises several of her clients through the medium of Welsh.
