Professional Background
Claudia was educated at University of Wales Swansea and the College of Law in Guildford. Having trained at Eversheds LLP in Cardiff, Claudia became an assistant solicitor in their Real Estate Developers Team in 2003. She joined M&A in 2007 as an Associate.
Area of Practice
Claudia has significant experience in both commercial projects and commercial property transactions. She advised West Sussex County Council on all property aspects relating to their multi-sited £90m waste handling and recycling scheme and is currently advising in relation to the follow up Materials Recovery Management Contract. The former included substantial property elements such as the granting of leases, licences, options, property exchanges, acquisition and disposal in relation to approximately 16 sites across the county. Claudia also advised the same council on a multi-sited reprovision of residential care homes across the county which was funded by a Prudential Loan. She is currently advising Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council on their reprocurement of waste recycling and disposal facilities, using the competitive dialogue process and West Sussex County Council on a £100m scheme to deal with waste disposal in the county.
She previously acted for the Welsh Assembly Government and was seconded to assist the Welsh Development Agency with their transition into the Welsh Assembly Government. She advised on a range of issues, including adoption works, land disposals, occupancy agreements and estate management issues. Other clients have included Pennant Walters, Monmouthshire County Borough Council, Pembrokeshire College, Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust and Vinci Investments.
Claudia advises Celtic Energy Limited in relation to various land and property management issues.
