Professional Background

John completed an undergraduate degree in law at the University of Bristol. He initially joined M&A in 2006 as a Paralegal working in the litigation and corporate departments. He completed the Legal Practice Course at Cardiff University and rejoined M&A as a trainee Solicitor in 2008. John qualified as a Solicitor in the construction team in April 2010.

Area of Practice

John’s main area of practice is construction and development work. He has provided advice to clients in both the public and private sector on the negotiation and drafting of standard form and bespoke construction and engineering contracts and associated construction documentation, including professional appointments and collateral warranties as well as other security documents.

John is currently assisting on the West Sussex County Council waste management project, including advising on the EPC Contract and a number of related construction documents. He is also advising the Council on a range of building contracts for projects throughout the county of West Sussex.

John also has experience of assisting the commercial property, commercial projects and litigation teams.
