Professional Background
John was educated at CAT Cambridge. He then spent time with Cartwrights and Merrils Ede, as a partner, before establishing himself as a sole practitioner. John joined M&A in 2008.
Area of Practice
John is advising Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in its multi-million pound claim against its technical advisors in relation to its infamous PPP waste scheme and a numerous insolvency practitioners, including Begbies Traynor and Doyle Davies, in relation to insolvency law and practice and the full range of insolvency proceedings.
He assisted a Premiership rugby club with a voluntary arrangement with its creditors and is representing a numerous individual sports persons in relation to disciplinary hearings taken by professional sporting bodies. He is also representing the Sports Council for Wales in recovering grants due to Wrexham Football Club, in administration.
John is representing Cardiff City Council in proceedings to recover overpaid housing benefit and is also advising farm owners in Carmarthenshire in relation to boundary disputes.
He is also advising Cardiff Staff Recruitment in relation to employment tribunal cases.
John is a fluent Welsh Speaker.
