At M&A Solicitors we recognise that our people are our greatest asset. We pride ourselves on our proactive philosophy, always looking to solve problems rather than create them. The quality of work that we undertake is second to none in Wales and this, combined with the advantages of working for a smaller firm, makes M&A Solicitors a fantastic place to work.
If you are interested in working for a friendly, client focused team in Cardiff then you have nothing to lose in getting in touch with us but you may have much to gain.
For fee earner recruitment please contact Rachelle Sellek at rsellek@manda.uk.com and for support staff recruitment please contact Colette Thomas at cthomas@manda.uk.com. In either case applications should be by way of CV with covering letter. Applications can be sent by email or to our postal address.
M&A Solicitors welcomes applications from all sections of the community irrespective of race, sex, disability, age or religion.
Graduate Recruitment
M&A Solicitors typically recruits in the January prior to training contracts commencing in September. We find that recruiting at this time allows us to establish our needs more accurately than we could do if we recruited earlier. Our practice has and will continue to expand and we believe that our trainees will be an integral part of that expansion. The training that you will get at M&A Solicitors will be very hands on and you will be expected to take on a great deal of responsibility at an early stage. We believe that this is the best way to learn although of course our more senior fee earners are always on hand to provide support and guidance as required.
Our preference is for good academics evidenced by a 2:1 degree, a clear interest in our practice areas and a connection to Wales. Applications should be by way of CV and covering letter addressed to Rachelle Sellek at rsellek@manda.uk.com. Please specify the electives you have studied or are proposing to study on the LPC in your application. We welcome applications by email or to our postal address.
Training contracts
The deadline for applications for training contracts to commence from September 2010 closed on 31 January 2010.
Our next provisional closing date for training contract applications to commence from September 2011 will be 31 January 2011 (to be confirmed). Please do not submit applications earlier than December 2010 as they will not be considered.
Work Placements
M&A Solicitors are able to offer a limited number of short (one or two weeks) unpaid work experience placements to university and LPC students. These placements usually involve shadowing a trainee solicitor but will involve some practical work experience showing what life as a trainee solicitor is like in a commercial practice. If you are interested in spending a week with M&A Solicitors please contact Rachelle Sellek at rsellek@manda.uk.com or via our postal address.
