Shaun regularly speaks on local government issues, including the modernisation agenda, codes of conduct and procurement as well has having provided numerous seminars on PFI and PPP.
M&A Solicitors’ Managing Partner, Stephen Berry, said, "Shaun is joining M&A Solicitors at an exciting time in our development, and we are delighted with his appointment. Shaun's experience will further strengthen our Public Sector team, which I believe now to be the largest and most experienced specialist Public Sector team in Wales. We have the skills and expertise to advise public sector bodies on large value projects and are currently working for local authorities in Wales and England on projects in the waste, schools and highways sectors".
Shaun joins a fast growing team who have been recommended for their local authority commercial and projects advice by the 2009 edition of the Legal 500 (the Clients' guide to the best law firms).
Shaun adds "I am very excited to be joining M&A's strong Public Sector practice and look forward to building on the success achieved by M&A across and outside of Wales. I was attracted to M&A Solicitors by the quality of its client base and the ethos of providing a partner led service to clients. Our aim is for M&A Solicitors to be the first person local authorities turn to when they need the assurance of expertise, experience and efficiency".
The appointment of Shaun Jamieson follows the appointment in May last year of Jeremy Williams, a leading Welsh lawyer with extensive public sector experience. Shaun and Jeremy work with fellow partners Eric Evans and Deryn Rees in the M&A Solicitors Public Sector team.
