Press release: Velindre is M&A's Charity of the Year
13 May 2010

Cardiff based solicitors have a lot to shout about in May 2010; the firm recently celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a special evening at their the new Cardiff Bay offices. M&A Solicitors also used the event to launch their first Charity of the Year partnership.
Alan Whiteley, Senior Partner, said “We have supported a range of charities in Wales over the years, but given this special anniversary we wanted to focus on one local charity and give them our maximum support. We thought that the fairest and most practical way to do this was by putting it to a staff e-vote and the winner was Velindre Cancer Centre. We are pleased to be supporting them and aim to raise a considerable sum through a range of fund-raising activities over the course of the year”.
Andrew Morris, Head of Fundraising at Velindre Cancer Centre, said “We are absolutely delighted to be chosen by M & A Solicitors’ staff as their Charity of the Year, and look forward to a successful partnership; last year Velindre supported over a hundred thousand patients in Wales, and with cancer on the increase, we need to grow our fundraising activities to keep pace with the new challenges this will throw up. M & A Solicitors’ support will make a significant impact in helping us face that challenge and we are very pleased to be working with them.”
